BB.  Miss Pit bull, how did you get that tag?

CD.  Well actually Ms. Pit bull is the name of my 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000, I named her that but if you look at her she is very girly looking but will snap on the track!!
BB.  I’m sure everyone asks you how do did you get started in drag racing?

CD.  My parents Blair and Patty Dickerson started racing back in 1980 before I was born. I started going to the track as a baby still in my mother’s arms. When I was three years old my dad put me on a Honda 50cc with training wheels from my bicycle. In between 10 and 17 years old my parents used to let me ride their bikes from the trailer to the backyard. With no experience racing a motorcycle at 17 years old my dad put me on a 2002 Kawasaki ZX900R at Atco Raceway and I’ve been hooked ever since!
BB.  Your pretty cute for a drag racer, I bet the guys give you a hard time at the track?

CD.  Actually they don’t give me a hard time. Some of the guys that don’t know me, they like to try me. They will line up with me on purpose and when they get beat they don’t even look my way, but some do talk to me afterwards, coming up the return lane I get a lot of respect from the guys!
BB.  With promoters such as CMD providing events geared toward female racers, what hopes do you have for female racers in the future?  Do you suspect that there will ever be a female Ricky G?

CD.  My hopes are for us to get along and not try to compete against each other being that we are in male dominated sport we should be trying to compete against the guys which is a lot more competitive.  It will never be another Rickey Gadson! Maybe there will be a female Rickey Gadson, Hopefully me hahaha.
BB.  It has been said that the female biker population is one of the fastest growing section of bike riders.  Do you expect this to spill over into drag racing?

CD.  I hope so. I’m not really sure how big the biker population is because I don’t ride on the streets but I do see a lot of female riders out there and I try to get them to come to the track but they look at me like I’m crazy! Hopefully they will come out and support the drag racing world and we can soon have a huge population of females racing against the males in this sport.

BB.  Who is D tech racing and how do you fit in?

CD.  D-Tech Racing is not just my racing team but also my family, my father, my brother, my cousin, and myself. I’m the only female is my team this is why I’m Baby Girl. We all work together as one! www.dtechracing.com
BB.  How do your parents fill about you being involved in such a dangerous sport?

CD.  They support me to the fullest! My dad still drag    race    with me! My mother doesn’t race anymore but she comes to all of my races!
BB.  What would you like to tell other females coming behind you in this sport? You know the pros and the cons.

CD.  Well it’s a difference if you’re trying to take it to the next level, like myself or doing it for fun. If you’re trying to take it to the next level stay professional at all times and stay focused! To those that are doing it for fun; have fun but always stay safe at all times! Drag racing is a wonderful sport to be part of but you can’t take it for granted.

BB.  You a rush junkie aren’t you.  I’m the same way but when you on the line and you see that second bulb light up how do you feel?

CD.  I’m ready! I want to just go at that point! Praying for the win light to come on once I get to the 1/4! It’s a wonderful feeling when you see the win light! I won’t say I’m a rush junkie I love to take my time and hope for the best!

BB.  I hear you got your own web site now and I know you got a myspace page.  Tell us about how it came to be?

CD.  Well I started my myspace page about 4 years ago and I started doing website designs last year. I designed my myspace page myself and I keep it updated with drag results pictures and I try to inform my fans on everything I get into in the motorcycle world. My website is more professional with pictures my sponsors and information about myself where my myspace page is basically for my fans to send me messages with questions for me to answer and they can also leave me comments on a daily basis.
BB.  What would you like to say in closing to your fan base and supporter?  Any

Special shout outs or thank you?

BB.  In closing we were so impressed with miss pit bull that we have become one of her sponsors.  I encourage you to take a closer look at Ms Dickerson and keep her in your prayers.  Also, if you would like to see some good female drag racing check out the female championship sponsored by CMD promotions, for more information go to cmd promotions.  Until next month keep two to the road.
